A rising DIY electronic producer and vocalist with a dreamlike sound opens up and invites the last of summer’s golden rays in

From industrial dance abrasiveness to tender cradles of ambience and subversive pop moments—Melbourne/Naarm’s Purient knows how to use light and shade. With her new EP, MWAH, she deepens her ability to seamlessly meld club-adjacent beats with melancholic synths, creating soundscapes laden with emotive, elusive, and pop-driven vocals.

One-third of the dream-pop band and fellow Dusk til Dark collaborators Acopia, Purient will be manipulating her sonic shades from within the pavilion greys in a Dusk til Dark set that promises to edge toward the ethereal.
