Get lost in thoughts of foliage and drown out the morning traffic with birdsong

Magpies with their ecstatic, warbling song. Suburban fairy-wrens cheeping merrily. Wattlebirds calling with their rhythmic click-and-chirp. Few things unwind the mind quite like native bird calls. This free sound work from artist Catherine Clover invites us to start our day totally immersed in the calming cacophony of the park’s feathered locals.

It’s a complementary piece to Homing Songs in our Home Ground series, but it’s less about singing within birdlike frequencies and more about connecting through stillness and listening. This work has been adapted for morning risers who want to ditch the AirPods and glide through the morning differently.
