MPavilion Wins Gold at A&D Awards

The Naomi Milgrom Foundation is thrilled to announce that MPavilion 10 by Tadao Ando has won the Gold Award for Architecture – Best Cultural at the A&D Awards 2024.
The Awards were announced on Thursday 20 February 2025 at the PERSPECTIVE Gala Presentation in Hong Kong, with over 170 of Asia Pacific’s leading architects and designers from Japan, Singapore, and India present. Fifty Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards were presented on the night across 34 categories, assessed by the A&D Awards international jury panel.
MPavilion 10’s Gold Award for Architecture, Best Cultural marks the ongoing significance of Ando’s pavilion, and broader MPavilion initiative, which has consistently brought together the world’s leading architects and designers to create temporary pavilions that reflect the ever-changing nature of our cultural landscape.
Pritzker Prize Laureate Tadao Ando, esteemed designer for MPavilion 10, is one of Japan’s leading contemporary architects, is a master of light known for his striking geometric interventions in nature.
“The design for the MPavilion began with a desire to find a scene of eternity within the public gardens of the Queen Victoria Gardens in Melbourne. Eternal, not in material or structure, but in the memory of a landscape that will continue to live in people’s hearts.”
