Queen Victoria Gardens

The opening weekend of the ninth MPavilion by Bangkok-based practice, all(zone), will see the return of the Thai Festival to Melbourne—a one-of-a-kind celebration of Thai culture, architecture, art and design!

The Queen Victoria Gardens will be transformed into a hub of free cultural activities, with more than 60 Thai artists, creators and vendors coming together ‘Under One Roof’—all(zone)’s MPavilion 2022.

Presented in partnership with the Thai Embassy, the MPavilion Thai Festival brings international flair from our ninth architect, Rachaporn Choochuey, reflecting the interconnectedness between Melbourne and Bangkok as we commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Thailand.

Inspired by ‘Sanuk’—an ethos and way of life in Thailand meaning ‘fun’—the MPavilion Thai Festival will feature performances, talks, and activities for kids and adults alike.
