The children’s playground is ever changing—it is becoming more creative, colourful, sculptural and elaborate. Playgrounds are becoming a critical fabric of the city. Join UAP for this workshop that will spark new ideas for both public art and playscapes. Young and emerging artists and architects will lead kids and kids at heart in interactive activities to create the best hybrid of public art and playground.

The workshop will be conducted by UAP’s principal and senior curator Owen Craven and lead designer Monica Daley.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
