For this exciting new installation, MPavilion cuts loose on a curly question that is never straight forward: What does your hair mean to you?
‘Hair Salon Installation’ will see MPavilion Parkade temporarily transformed into a real-life hair salon—and the site of conversations, performances, workshops, and hair-styling sessions that run a fine-tooth comb over the role of hair in shaping our identities, genders, images, perceptions, and rituals.
Designed by local artist and writer Atong Atem, with Where Are You From? founder Sabina McKenna, the space will feature sessions hosted by HoMie, Short Back & Sidewalks, and a dazzling array of artists, musicians, performers, and thinkers.
More details to be announced soon!
