Join us for the launch of the inaugural ‘Songwriter Sessions,’ presented by Tribe Artists. Part live performance, part forum, this event will showcase the eclectic talents of four Victorian singer-songwriters–Hannah Blackburn, Ruby Jones, Madeline Leman and Forever Son.

Before performing a selection of songs from their back catalogue, each musician will discuss the art of songwriting, what it means to them and how it creates connection – within themselves, with others and among the broader community.

This is an event not to be missed for fans of the singer-songwriter musical tradition, and those wanting a deeper insight into the processes and approach of four emerging local music artists.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the Yaluk-ut Weelam as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yaluk-ut Weelam means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yaluk-ut Weelam are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders—past, present and to the future.
