Enjoy our free Professional Learning events for Season 11. we welcome educators from all contexts to develop their practice within MPavilion by esteemed Japanese architect Tadao Ando

All MPavilion Education Professional Learning sessions are FREE and open to educators of all levels. Sessions create authentic links between the architecture of MPavilion, its uniform and chair commissions; professional practice; key design concepts and teaching practice. Participants engage in hands-on making and discussions and that are directly transferable to the classroom, tutorial or studio.

Friday 21st February 2025, 9.30 am – 1.30 pm

Due to popular demand Jake Nakashima Edwards of DNJ Paper returns to MPavilion to reprise his workshop on washi paper dyeing techniques and share how DNJ Paper developed their uniform to compliment MPavilion 10 by Tadao Ando.

This professional learning workshop will suit educators who want to learn new ideas and techniques applicable to teaching:

Architectural Origami, Haiku Poetry and design literacy |
Friday 7th March 20259.30 am – 1.30 pm

Explore Architectural Origami and Design Vocabulary through Haiku with guest presenters Michael Assis and Sukanya Deshmukh of Melbourne Origami Group, and Rob Scott of The Australian Haiku Society.

This professional learning workshop will suit educators who want to learn new ideas and techniques applicable to teaching:
