Christian Evripidou knows how to hold space, currently doing so at Capers Thornbury, the Greek Bar with an eclectic local music program.
With family heritage in Cyprus & Malta, Christian grew up in the northern suburbs of Naarm where you’d probably find him during his teen years providing a mobile-disco service at house-parties or working the floor in family-restaurants where he was being influenced by Greek wedding and baptism music.
Over the years, Christian has developed his musical taste, having worked behind the bar in nightclubs between Melbourne and London as well as helping out at community radio stations such as NTS and RRR.
Christian enjoys approaching a DJ set as if to arrange a soundtrack for a film, creating tension and space by moving between genres freely selecting from his extensive record collection.
