MMeets
Wrapping as Meditation

Free!

This event is now complete. If you want to revisit the talk, visit our Library, or subscribe to the MPavilion podcast via iTunes, Pocketcasts, Stitcher, Spotify, or wherever else you get your podcasts.

Each year, we are spending more and more precious hours in the day living our life through a screen—becoming constantly connected and overwhelming our minds.

Join us as we unplug from the digital world and reconnect with our hands, mind and heart with fibre obsessed maker Maryanne Moodie.

This workshop will explore soft fibre sculpture and wrapping techniques to still the mind as you create small artworks or home decor, including chubby arches, keyholes and tassels.

Bring a water bottle, some snacks, and settle in for an afternoon of wrapping mindfully.

Each participant will leave with at least 1 artwork.

Wominjeka (Welcome). We acknowledge the clans of the Eastern Kulin Nations as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we connect, create and work. We pay our respects to their land, ancestors and Elders—past, present and future. We value the wealth of knowledge, creative practice and connection to Country of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and continue to learn from the oldest living culture in the world.
